"You Shouldn't Be"
A photo exhibition by Christine Kacz Ruse, Caroline Hedin and Vidal Rousso.

"I'm called transsexual. Told what I should be. But I'm not a mistake. I'm not a label, not a category. I'm only a human, like everyone of us."

The exhibition faces the theme of transsexuality, different ways and aspects of being a transsexual from Vidal's own experience, and expectations of the society, which features some of modern prejudices along with things labeled as normal and abnormal.
Every photo in the exhibition has its own accompanying quote/line, which tells something more about the visuals.

From 2nd to 6th of August the selection of 10 photos from this project was exhibited in the Pride Park under Stockholm Pride 2006.

From 17th of May to 1st of June, 2008 the selection of 8 photos from "You Shouldn't Be" was exhibited in Uppsala domkyrkans (dome church) Katedralkafe as a part of Uppsala Pride.

Here you can start viewing the exhibition online (includes downloadable wallpapers):

Not really belonging in Works is the appearance of Vidal and Christine in the Swedish TV documentary "Outsiders" (season 7, ep.7); but since the episode touched many important aspects of transsexuality and explained where Vidal stands and what he works for, here's a note about it anyway.
