Vidal was born and grew up in Riga, Latvia. He graduated theatre college
in 1999, and university in 2005; several of his early stories 
were
published in a local glbt newspaper "10%" and glbt portal in Latvia,
causing strong, controversial response. At the same time he worked with
some video shooting in a youth video studio. From 1999 to 2001 he had
his own dance group (see pictures in photogallery)
and worked for restaurant Bollywood Chutney in Riga, Latvia, on contractual
basis, giving dance shows each weekend. The group had guest performances
at night clubs (Pepsi Forums, now Roxy) as well.
In 2002 - 2003 Vidal was doing only separate projects for different theatres
and for the alternative youth cinema festival "Divas Annas".
In 2004 he performed in London (Club Wotever), in Stockholm (Bouffon theatre
Aim night), worked as a scenic movement consultant in Unity theatre in
Latvia and as a scenic movement teacher for its studio.
Summer, 2005, Vidal moved to Stockholm, Sweden. Under Stockholm Pride
festival he has participated in the Drag King contest (prize of honor
for innovations on stage) in 2005 and performed in Pride Park in 2006;
he has done shows for the Bouffon theatre nights, Queerdykes, QueerQult
festival and Club LASH. In winter 2008 Vidal's and his partner's Christine's story was
also shown in "Outsiders" TV documentary on Swedish TV Channel
5.
Question: What is your gender?
Vidal: According to the label, I'm a transsexual FTM (female-to-male),
who has no intentions to undergo the operation since the results
are not really what you'd expect and I don't wanna do cosmetics for the
society, or for those who won't accept me as I am now. Otherwise I'm simply
male in a female body.
What is your sex?
Kinky.
Addictions?
None, but I'm still human, I try different things.
Attitude against femininity?
Very positive in every aspect. In my case any femininity is a deadly sin.
An FTM can't be any more feminine than a Texas cowboy. Therefore I love
to be in touch with my feminine side.
